I am trying to hold my excitement as I write this. Last time, I remember, I felt this kind of excitement when I saw a mobile phone for the first time.
Man! I could talk without wires attached to the handset in the middle of the park.
Now, this!
The flying car is here and ready to be shipped. They are taking orders from October.
That means you would be able to whizz around the skies and can transform to drive on the road.
Enter the Batman! How I envied him when he flew his vehicles.
Watch this!
As you can see this monster vehicle is made by a company called Terrafugia, which belongs to Volvo, and it’s called a Transition. It can fly for up to 400 miles and can reach a top speed of 200mph.
The price is yet to come out and though I am sure I would not be able to afford one right now, I would love to see someone flying this thing.
[At least you can ask for a ride :-)]
What is the vehicle and what should you expect from it?
Its a vehicle that is hybrid electric powered and has all of the normal things of a car.
And a lot more like a parachute system, fold-out wings and motors, and a ‘boost’ mode for the extra thrust during flying.
And you would require a pilot’s license too in addition to driver’s.
You know what does that mean?
Pilots by default qualify without lifting any additional finger.
Kind of made for pilots. Isn’t it!
You fly your car, reach the airport and then you fly your plane while lesser mortals are busy honking at the intersections.
The vehicle, called TF-X does not require airport for take-off and landing, and it will drive on all roads and highways – providing the convenience of true door-to-door transportation.
