If you are new to reliance Jio you might scratch your head on the issue of call forwarding and call divert features.
It works bit differently but Reliance Jio does provide options of activating, deactivating and call divert features.
I must say these are desired features now of any service provider. With dual sims and multiple handsets call activating, forwarding and divert feature comes in handy.
JIO4GVoice application is required if your mobile doesn’t support VOLTE.
Activate call forwarding, call divert from JIO to another mobile number:
The call forwarding / call divert service can be activated to alternate mobile operator mobile number by dialing below short codes depending upon your requirement.
Condition | Explanation | Dial Code |
Call forwarding – Unconditional | To divert / forward all incoming calls from JIO to another mobile number | *401*<10 digit number> |
Call forwarding – no answer | To divert / forward incoming calls from JIO to another mobile number if you do not answer the call. | *403*<10 digit number> |
Call forwarding – busy | To divert / forward incoming calls from JIO to another mobile number if your JIO number is busy. | *405*<10 digit number> |
Call forwarding – not reachable | To divert / forward incoming calls from JIO to another mobile number if your JIO number is not reachable / out of coverage / switched off. | *409*<10 digit number> |
Example:
If you want to divert / forward calls unconditionally to alternate mobile number 9934537890 then dial *401*9934537890 from your JIO number.
Deactivate call forwarding , call divert from JIO to another mobile number
The call forwarding/call divert service can be deactivated by dialing below short codes depending upon your activation type.
Condition | Explanation | Dial Code |
Call forwarding – Unconditional | To cancel / deactivate this type of call divert / call forward. | *402 |
Call forwarding – no answer | To cancel / deactivate this type of call divert / call forward. | *404 |
Call forwarding – busy | To cancel / deactivate this type of call divert / call forward. | *406 |
Call forwarding – not reachable | To cancel / deactivate this type of call divert / call forward. | *410 |
All forwarding | To cancel / deactivate all types of call divert / call forward. | *413 |
Example:
If you have diverted / forwarded calls unconditionally then dial *402 from your JIO number to deactivate unconditional call forward / divert service.
Alternatively, if your phone supports VOLTE or you can call directly from Jio sim without using JIO4GVoice application then settings for call forwarding & call diverting can be done from mobile phone. Go to Call > Click on dots to access Settings > Call Settings > Select SIM > Call forwarding. There may be some minor changes in the options for different mobile phones.
