Internet is rife with rumor that Google is about to launch Pixel 2 on October 5. Pixel 2 is believed to be run by will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 836, an updated version of the chip inside the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8.
Google Pixel is a great phone if we go by specs though I do not have any experience of its use. [The phone was available at a steep discount at Amazon in a recent sale but I let it it go. Frugal thoughts. But it was good I did that. I have something to look forward to]
The Google Pixel 2 handsets are also expected to run on the new Android Oreo operating system, a platform Google showcased earlier this week that promises improvements to notifications, design tweaks, and faster performance.
I wanted to update on Android Oreo as well. May be tomorrow!
Google Pixel 2 would compete with Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 and these devices run on on the Snapdragon 835. The Snapdragon 836 is expected to deliver better performance than the Snapdragon 835.
Google Pixel was costly and Google Pixel 2 is expected to be even costlier thought their is no announcement on the price front.
Google keeps its cards close to chest and it could be well strategised to launch the phone after other competitors are through with the launch.
Talk about styled entry!
I would keep you in the loop when a new rumor or leak emerges.
Google Pixel has intrigued me always because of everything Google that comes with it. Now that the launch date has been decided and I am looking for my second Android phone in addition to Motorolla G5 plus that I have. Its a good phone but I want better camera.
The question is if I would buy it. If I do, expect a review from me in depth.
