It is very cold outside. Not as cold as it was last year at this time but still significantly cold. It has to be for it is winter.

I am sitting in my chamber in hospital. A boy has fallen from rooftop and probably fractured his wrist bone. An xray is being done as I write this.

Another 5 minutes and I would be busy with him again.

2011 is about to end. Three more days to go. 2011 has been good for my clinical practice. But it has not been good for my online growth.

The boy had fracture of distal radius and was treated by closed reduction and Kwire fixation of the fracture.

2012 has finally arrived. Its Sunday today and I hope everyone of you is enjoying the day.

People still ask questions on boneandspine.com. In fact I get a lot of health queries. These are mostly in form of comments that my articles receive. People try to help each other but still it was not making any community.

In my previous two attempts, I tried building a forum and community based on free softwares available.

Both had to be shut down because of spam issues.

This time I decided to purchase Vbulletin publishing suite and the result is bone and spine forums

The software is quite powerful and serve the requirements I was looking for.

At Bone and Spine Forums, you can do a lot of things

• Participate in forum discussions
• keep a diary or blog
• Create and join groups
• Share your life and moments with others

And I write this post. In connection with my last post I just wanted to mention that I am getting my grip back on the situation.

Finally I have started sleeping less.

That means working more.

Feels good.

Whenever I want to sit and write, something more pressing surfaces and writing becomes secondary option.

I am barely able to find time to support the website network I have build.

And the traffic is going downwards.

Somehow I have managed to update boneandspine.com with help of images which reduce the amount of time required.

The worst thing is there seems no respite.

I cannot give up clinical practice.

With time number of surgeries are going to increase and so is my time consumed in there. Moreover, it is good to be successful.

I cannot reduce the time spent with my family. It has already been sliced to one tenth of what I use to spend.

I am waiting for my offline projects to get into motion. I am streamlining the time wasted in meeting people and discussions. Anyway, these discussions are highly inefficient.

Another option is reduce my sleep. I sleep for 7 hours a day which are more by my previous standards. May be it is a reflection of my relaxed state as compared to when I was in Delhi.

I can push myself to sleep 6 hours or 5 hours. But that will require some practice.

It would take some time to grip the situation and become master of it.

But I am working on it.

BTW, I stole these moments to write and connect with you again. It feels so good.

Back to myself.

My offline work in clinic and hospital demanded so much of time that I failed to write a single letter for this blog. And the situation was same for all the virtual piece of estate I own across the web.

I got too busy.

It is strange how your mind shifts priorities in hours hen a change is demanded. I did miss my writing sessions but then that was that. I was too occupied tp think beyond that.

My work is stretched between my clinic and the hospital I work in. That I am able to manage but it was another hospital which is responsible for the situation I went through.

When they approached me for looking after their trauma patients, I was quite reluctant but on insistence I did said yes and that was a wrong move.

The work demand threw my balance away.

Finally, I left the offer.

So here I am, a bit rejuveneted and with lot of enthusiasm.

My focus is also back where it should be.
