I am not going to discuss pros and cons. Bandhs and protests always cause public inconvenience. There are methods to solve issues without inconvenience to others. A bandh paralyses the state. Who gets benefited from paralysis? It is the common man that is at loss. Anyways. I just hope it remains peaceful.
I am little uncomfortable today. I wish could be furious but that does not serve any purpose. Anybody would be if one has to spend 40 minutes on a railway crossing. Yes! 40 minutes. Indian highways are undergoing a major change. From thin arterial structures, highways are being turned into giant entities. Imagine a single road accomodating trafic of both directions being turned into a 8 laned road. The roads are increasing in capacity to transfer number of vehicles at any given period.
1 December is celebrated as World AIDS Day every year. The aim is to raise the level of awareness and spread. The disease has killed millions and is still infecting many others. Let us strengthen those who are fighting and who are helping the fighters.
